With your time

    Volunteering with the Hospice

Holy Cross strives to develop relationships with universities and churches in the US and UK in order to offer congregations and students the opportunity to serve with the Hospice. Students and young people are welcome to apply for semester and summer internships. Skilled volunteers (nurses, doctors, psychologists, social workers, teachers, etc.) may apply for short or long term volunteer positions. Click here to download our volunteer application form.

    Fundraising for the Hospice

Many people who would like to support the Hospice do not have the means to make individual donations. Among our most dedicated supporters have been churches, local organizations, businesses and even individuals who have held fundraisers, large and small, benefiting our work. In Nashville, Tennessee, one songwriter held a concert on behalf of Holy Cross . There are many ways that you and your community can raise funds to help us respond.

With your support

Supporting our new inpatient hospice and orphan care centre

In 2007, Holy Cross Hospice plans to begin work on two exciting new projects: an orphan centre and a residential hospice, both located in the low-income neighborhood of Old Naledi. The orphan centre, and idea formed in response to the overwhelming need for both preschool education and nutrional support, will serve 50 orphans and other vulnerable children in Old Naledi. The residential hopsice - the first of its kind in Botswana - will work alongside primary caregivers in order to help take some of the pressure off of traditional, overburdened family support networks.

Becoming a "Friend" of Holy Cross Hospice

Friends of Holy Cross Hospice receive regular email updates about the services of Hospice in addition to an HIV/AIDS pin made by our clients, by pledging to donate each year to the Hospice . Click here to email our director about becoming a Friend of Holy Cross Hospice.

To our current friends and supporters

Without your gracious support, Holy Cross Hospice would be unable to deliver quality care and support to people living with HIV/AIDS in Gaborone, or to their families and children.
